The Maritime Academy of Nigeria Library provides information resources and services to support the instructional programs and educational goals of the university and to support the research and staff development needs of MAN faculty and staff.
To achieve these goals, the Library provides a rich collection of print and electronic resources with a strong focus on course-related information literacy and reference support. Research guides are available for each major degree program; printing, scanning, photocopying and three computer labs are available; the library accommodates both wired and wireless computer access. | |  | |
The primary mission of the Maritime Academy of Nigeria is to provide information resources and services to support the instructional programs and educational goals of the university; namely, to help students prepare for a career, develop life-long learning and critical thinking skills and to promote diversity in the student body and educational programs.
The operational goals of the library's mission include facilitating access to
information through: the development of the library print collection and electronic information and access to external information sources, the library's organization and arrangement for access, appropriate reference services and user education programs, and the maintenance of facilities of an adequate size and quality to house collections, resources, and equipment and to provide adequate space for patrons and library personnel. | | | | |
